The metallic drum containing the toxic materials, especially radioactive materials of high activity releasing heat is embedded in a raw ceramic paste, after drying, the whole undergoes a temperature cycle to give a tight ceramic block for storage

La presente invention concerne un procede d'emballage d'un conteneur renfermant des produits toxiques et plus specialement des dechets radioactifs degageant de la chaleur, caracterise en ce que ledit conteneur est entoure sur tous ses cotes d'une pate ceramique crue, que l'ensemble est seche puis soumis a un cycle de temperature pour obtenir un bloc ceramique hermetique
