Detailed analysis of the high-velocity giant HD 6497

Description

This new detailed analysis of the high-velocity giant HD 6497 (K 2 III) shows the importance of using really weak lines in abundance determinations. The present analysis has been performed from curves of growth enriched in weak-lines. HD 6497 is found normal in iron-content in contrast of some previous determinations. (orig.)

Die vorliegende neue detaillierte Analyse des schnellaufenden Riesenterms HD 6497 (K 2 III) zeigt, wie wichtig es ist, bei der Bestimmung chemischer Haeufigkeiten von wirklich schwachen Linien auszugehen. Die vorliegende Analyse wurde mit in schwachen Linien angereicherten Wachstumskurven durchgefuehrt. Im Gegensatz zu einigen frueheren Bestimmungen wird ein normaler Eisengehalt in HD 6497 festgestellt. (orig./AK)
