Electrical neutrality of atoms and grand unificatiin models

Description

Grand unification models are considered, in which atoms possess tiny but nonvanishing electric charges. It is shown that such models contain a very large number of particles (although not necessarily as large as one would naively guess and therefore it seems improbable that they could be realized in nature
