Bulk modulus of titanium hydride and scandium deuteride: Experiment and theory
- 1. Sandia National Labs., Albuquerque, NM (USA)
Description
The authors have measured the longitudinal and transverse sound velocities in scandium deuteride and titanium hydride. From these data the bulk moduli of the two systems were determined. The total energy as a function of the lattice constant was calculated from self-consistent electronic energy band calculations. This gives an equilibrium lattice constant, cohesive energy, and bulk modulus. The experimental and theoretical values agree well. (orig.)
