Description
Two different gas detectors were developed: the multiwire proportional chamber (MWPC) and the gas scintillation chamber. The MWPC seems promising as a detector for cardiac studies. The promise of the gas scintillation chamber is even greater since it has all the advantages of a MWPC with significant improvement in energy resolution. Further refinements are being performed to permit animal and human studies
