Experiments on critical assemblies of KURRI reactors

Description
Results of experiments on critical assemblies of KURRI (Kyoto University, Japan) taking place in connection with the development of new concepts of fast reactors are reviewed. The concepts involve the use of nuclear fuel with the thorium addition, enriched and depleted uranium, metal diluents as well as new hydrides (ZrH1.6, ZrV2H4.8, PrH2.8, La2.76, SrH2, CaH2). Methods on registration of neutron flux and analysis of contribution of new materials in reactivity of critical assemblies are described

Представлен обзор материалов по результатам экспериментов на критических сборках KURRI (Университет Киото, Япония), проведенных в связи с разработкой новых концепций реакторов на быстрых нейтронах. Концепции включают использование топлива с добавлением тория, обогащенного и обедненного урана, металлических разбавителей, а также новых гидридов (ZrH1.6, ZrV2H4.8, PrH2.8, La2.76, SrH2, CaH2).
