From the performance of about 250 99mTc-HMPAO-SPECT studies for clarification of cerebro-vascular diseases, five essential problem groups have emerged: 1. Positioning of the patient's head and hence resulting rotation radius of the camera head. 2. Choice of the slice level for documentation and demonstration of the ECT study. 3. Standardization and colour codation of the single slice images. 4. Localization and identification of single slices in different slice levels. 5. Quantification of the distribution pattern. Whether nuclear medical cerebral perfusion study for diagnosis of cerebro-vascular diseases using 99mTc-HMPAO may be an equivalent to DSA und TCT in future, should at least partially depend upon an adequate answer to the presented problems. Abstract (German)
Bei der Durchfuehrung von etwa 250 99mTc-HMPAO-SPECT-Untersuchungen zur Abklaerung cerebro-vasculaerer Erkrankungen kristallisierten sich fuenf wesentliche Problemkreise heraus: 1. Lagerung des Patientenkopfes und daraus resultierender Rotationsradius des Kamerakopfes. 2. Wahl der Schnittebenen fuer die Dokumentation und Demonstration der ECT-Studie. 3. Normierung und Farbcodierung der einzelnen Schnittbilder. 4. Lokalisierung und Identifizierung einzelner Schnitte in verschiedenen Schnittebenen. 5. Quantifizierung des Verteilungsmusters. Ob die nuklearmedizinische Hirnperfusionsuntersuchung mit 99mTc-HMPAO in Zukunft gleichwertig neben DSA und TCT zur Diagnostik cerebro-vasculaerer Erkrankungen stehen kann, wird zumindest zum Teil von einer adaequaten Loesung der vorgestellten Probleme abhaengig sein.
