Description
The radiation induced by fracture in steels of varions composition (18Kh2N4VA, N18K9M4, U8) with different strength and fracture properties is investigated. It is shown that main radiation energy is in spectral range 250-360 nm in time range 2-8 ms that exceeds approximately by two-three orders the time to fracture which indicates the relation of radiation with relaxation processes in fracture formation. The radiation energy dependence on the micromechanism of crack propagation is found
