Description
The accident which occurred in the Chernobly nuclear power plant in 1986 is described in summarized form along with the subsequent release of radionuclides into the atmosphere. The contamination resulting from dispersion and deposition in Germany and the resulting radiation exposure are presented. The recommendations issued after the event by the German Commission for Radiological Protection and the contamination limits issued by the European Union are described. Epidemiological studies performed in Germany during the past years investigating the effects of radiation on human health are discussed. Finally, the implementation of the Precautionary Radiological Protection Act and the requirements which arose from this are discussed, viz., the establishment of the Integrated Measurement and Information System for the Surveillance of Environmental Radioactivity, dose and contamination limits, and precautionary measures. Abstract (German)
Es wird kurzgefasst ueber den Unfall im Kernkraftwerk Tschernobyl im Jahre 1986 und die dabei erfolgte Freisetzung von Radionukliden in die Atmosphaere berichtet. Die aufgrund der Ausbreitung und Ablagerung in Deutschland erfolgte Kontamination sowie die daraus resultierende Strahlenexposition werden dargestellt. Die nach diesem Ereignis von der Strahlenschutzkommission ausgesprochenen Empfehlungen sowie die von der Europaeischen Union erlassenen Kontaminations-Grenzwerte werden dargelegt. Es wird auf die epidemiologischen Studien zu moeglichen gesundheitlichen Strahleneffekten, die in den vergangenen Jahren in Deutschland durchgefuehrt wurden, eingegangen. Schliesslich werden das 1986 erlassene Strahlenschutzvorsorgegesetz und die daraus resultierenden Forderungen beschrieben: Einrichtung des Integrierten Mess- und Informationssystems zur Ueberwachung der Umweltradioaktivitaet (IMIS), Dosis-und Kontaminationsgrenzwerte, Vorsorgemassnahmen.
