Description
Thirteen alpha branching ratios for Z = 66 - 70 isotopes have been measured in sequential alpha decays from reaction products completely separated by the recoil mass separator CARP. Ratios of reduced alpha widths to that for 212Po are well reproduced by those calculated in the shell model with pure configurations over wide range of lanthanide. Discussion on ratios of reduced alpha widths in light actinide is made in comparison with those in light lanthanide. It has turned out that the reduced alpha width is a sensitive probe to detect shape transitions as well as nuclear shell effects. (author)
