Description

Time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy at low temperatures is used to study the 2.3 eV emission induced by treatments causing oxygen loss in YBa2Cu3O7-x. The decay shows a biexponential behavior with components of 34 and 87 μs at 10 K. The spectroscopic data enable to separate this emission from luminescence related to specific impurity phases. The present results agree with the existence of optical transitions in the same spectral range as previously reported in literature. (orig.)
