Masses and magnetic fields of neutron stars

Description
Unless the mass of a pulsar is known beforehand, timing observations are able to determine its magnetic field only to within a range of 3-4 decades. Either this field is correlated with mass or both the field and the mass are constrained to lie within relatively narrow limits.
