Novel ideas about the annihilation of positron and positronic states in semiconductors

Description

Several problems related to the theory of positronic and positronium states in semiconductor superstructures with quantum wells, quantum wires, and quantum dots are discussed. It is shown that annihilation characteristics of such states often display unusually strong anomalies, which may possibly be used to study the nature of 3D-, 2D-, 1D-, and 0D-electronic states (ND denotes the dimension of an electronic state). Among these states are, for example, ND-excitons, ND-shallow impurity states, various ND-superatoms and other objects that are studied in the modern physics of semiconductors
