Stochasticity in nonlinear Hamiltonian systems

Description

In this dissertation, we will describe principles involved in the research of nonlinear Hamiltonian systems in a few dimensions and provide both standard and new examples of such dynamical systems that exhibit chaotic behaivor. Analytical theories are discussed, which are not new, but which are measured accurately with modern computers. So, with the tools of computers and perturbation methods, we can describe the geometry of the phase space. 75 refs., 27 figs
