Superlattice of microinhomogeneities in laser target substance and plasma stability during spherical compression
Description
Results of experimental studies on possibility to increase plasma spherical compression stability due to superlattice of microinhomogeneities inside the spherical shell target wall are presented. Suggestion of microinhomogeneous plasma effect on compression stability was proved experimentally. Method for production of glass and polymer shells, containing superlattice of microhomogeneities, are developed. It is found, that in targets with 500 μm diameter and wall thickness of 1,5 - 3,0 μm silver microimpurities with 200 A diameter and average spacing between them up to 1000 A do not deteriorate compression conditions, while microimpurities of 300-400 A diameter lead to compression degree reduction
