Description
Highlights: • This work explores the structural units in Li2O-BaO-B2O3 glasses. • IR spectra have been analyzed to get the fraction of four-coordinated boron. • Mixed modifier effect is observed as a maximum in the activation energy. • The maximum appears at nearly equal concentration of Li+ and Ba2+ ions. • Changes in D and Vm manifest the mixed matrices nature of the studied glasses.
