Description

The main task of this work is the implementation of the thermal neutron flux measuremenst technique, using gold wires as activation detectors in the IPEN/MB-01 reactor core. The neutron thermal flux spatial distribution was obtained by gold wire activation technique, with wire diameters of 0.125 and 0.250 mm in seven selected reactor experimental channels. This experiment was the first conducted with gold wires in the IPEN/MB-01 reactor, being this technique implemented for use by experimentalisms in flux mapping of the core. (author). 9 refs., 7 figs
