Tunneling and optical properties of anisotropic superconductors

Description

It is shown that models with an anisotropic superconducting pairing (e.g. extended s -pairing or d-pairing) explain tunneling experiments with large ratio 2Δ/Tc and optical ones for crystals with the high reflectivity. In the isotropic superconductor, the reflectivity Rs differs from the unity at frequency equals to or less than the superconducting gap. In the usual isotropic superconductors this takes place at the double energy gap. This leads to the at least doubling of the ratio 2Δ/Tc obtained from infrared data
