Construction and reactor properties of RA reactor core simulation at the RB experimental reactor

Description
The aim of this task was to adapt the zero power RB reactor for studying the physical characteristics of the RA reactor. Detailed data about space-energy distribution of neutron flux in the experimental channels of RA are taken into account. The objective was to enable study of RA reactor lattice properties with highly enriched fuel. The final aim is intensifying the isotope production at the RA reactor by improvements of its neutron properties. If adapted the RB zero power system would enable testing improvement of the procedure of 2% fuel planned exchange with highly enriched fuel in the RA core. Identical fuel elements, fuel channels, experimental channels, heavy water coolant and moderator and reflector in the two systems promise successful simulation of the RA core with wide capability of direct access without risk of radiation

Cilj ovog rada bio je da se nulti eksperimentalni reaktor RB prilagodi za istrazivanja fizickih karakteristika reaktora RA. Pri tome su uzeta u obzir detaljnija upoznavanja prostorno energetskih raspodela neutronskog fluksa u eksperimentalnim kanalima reaktora RA kao i njihovih promena u toku rada reaktora. Pored toga cilj je bio da se nulti sistem Rb osposobi za ispitivanja reaktorskih performansi resetke reaktora RA sa visokoobogacenim gorivom. Krajnji cilj istrazivanja je detaljnije upoznavanje neutronskih karakteristika reaktora RA u toku rada a time i stvaranje neophodnih predznanja za intenziviranje produkcije rdaioaktivnih izotopa. Isto tako ovako osposobljeni sistem RB sposoban je da pruzi mogucnost za ispitivanje i usavrsavanje postupka zamene sadasnjeg 2% obogacenog goriva visokoobogacenim gorivom, sto je u planu razvoja reaktora RA. Velika podudarnost izmedju nultog sistema RB i reaktora RA: identicnost goriva, gorivnih kanala, eksperimentalniih kanala, moderatora D2O, hladioca i reflektora, obecava verno simuliranje aktivne zone RA sa velikim mogucnostima za neposredan pristup bez opasnosti od nuklearnog zracenjaFiles
