Purification and properties of superoxide dismutase from Periplaneta americana
Creators
Description
Soluble extracts of Periplaneta americana have been shown to contain a single, electrophoretically distinct, superoxide dismutase. This enzyme seems to be highly sensitive to cyanide as well as to chloroform-ethanol mixture. The enzyme has been purified to homogeneity and awaits further characterization
