Evaluation of recalcification of lytic metastatic bone lesions after radiation therapy

Description
Radiation therapy plays important role for treatment of metastatic bone tumors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the recalcification after radiation therapy in lytic metastatic bone tumor 49 bone lesions in 35 patients enrolled in this study. Recalcification was observed in 23 of 49 lesions (46.9%). Thirty-six lesions were able to follow up over 2 months. Recalcification was observed in 20 lesions (55.6%). (author)
