Direct control method for the parameters of a barrier layer of niobium-base Josephson tunnel junctions

Description
A technique for the application of electron Auger spectroscopy in combination with layer-by-layer ionic etching is suggested so as to work out criteria for quantitative evaluation of the tunnel barrier structure. Experimental results for Nb-NbxOy-Pb, In, Me-type transitions are given
