Production mechanisms of polarized protons in the deuteron electrodisintegration reaction, d(e,e'p-vector)n

Description
The angular dependence of the polarization of final protons in the deuteron disintegration by unpolarized electrons, d(e,e'p-vector)n, is investigated. All calculations are done in the framework of the relativistic version of the impulse approximation with the unitarized multipole amplitudes for the γ* + d → n + p process. The significance of various mechanisms in the formation of the angular dependence of that proton polarization component which is orthogonal to the e + d → e' + n + p reaction plane (in the coplanar kinematics of the experiment) is discussed
