Creep parameters of ZrNb1 for fuel cladding analysis in loss-of-coolant accidents of WWER-type reactors
Description
Based on a simple elongation-burst model the ZrNb1 creep parameters obtained by several authors are verified for their appropriateness in accident analysis. The sets of creep parameters determined under simplified laboratory conditions do not reflect all the effects characteristic for accidents with sufficient accuracy. A conservative estimation of burst rate in LOCA accidents is possible when using the available data. A realistic estimation of damage extent, however, requires more detailed models and, accordingly, more comprehensive experimental data. (author)
