Description
We analyze the new accurate data on the vector analyzing power and the experimental results on tensor polarization observables for πd elastic scattering, and simultaneously investigate the ΔN interaction of short range. Using as a basis the πd amplitudes obtained by Garcilazo, we show that the data are well described in terms of ΔN interaction in the 5S2, 5P3, and 3S1 states, which reflect themselves in small and regular changes in the 3P2, 3D3, and 3P1 πd partial wave amplitudes
