International cooperation in the field of optimization of technical solutions for the decommissioning objects of nuclear technology by creating interactive models

  • 1. Decommissioning and Remediation Unit, Waste, Environmental Safety Section, National Research Nuclear University MePhI (Obninsk Institute For Nuclear Power Engineering) (Russian Federation)

Description

The world already decommissioned and dismantled more than 15 nuclear power plants (NNP), and sites returned to a state of ''green field'', however, this process was more than the experimental nature of and is determined at conditions of possible allocation of resources for single units. At the moment the world's more than 130 research, demonstration and commercial reactors developed the resource, and in the period up to 2020 worldwide will be decommissioned over 200 units. In order to minimize material costs relating to the detailed design activities for the decommissioning objects of nuclear technology (NT) is proposed to combine the efforts of all countries in the work of a single interactive information system (IIS) for the decommissioning objects of NT.
