Description

Climate Change Committee (CCC) is UK's independent advisors on climate change, UK carbon Budgets and the pathway to Net Zero. CCC Balanced Pathway predicts 225 TWh - similar to current electricity system. In the UK Hydrogen strategy, nuclear is included as a potential to low carbon hydrogen - conventional electrolysis, steam electrolysis and thermochemical. In low carbon hydrogen standard nuclear is proposed to qualify for market access. In the business model to enable competitive market nuclear is included as qualifying technology.
