Recombination processes in atomic and molecular physics
Description
The variety of recombination processes, leading to charge neutralization or molecule formation, is surveyed. Examples are provided of atom-atom, electron-ion and ion-ion recombination in both the two-body and many-body regimes, with species ranging from protons to ammonia clusters. The emphasis is on the theoretical development, with only brief references to experimental techniques
