Determination of formation constants of monomeric bismuth (3) hydroxocomplexes from the data on 207Bi adsorption by glass

Description
A study was made on 207Bi adsorption by glass powder, depending on pH of 1 mol/l NaNO3 solution at 25 deg C. Results of the experiment were used for calculation of formation constants (β) of bismuth (3) hydroxocomplexes by the least-square method. The following values were obtained: β2=(7.1±2.7)x1024, β3=(7.4±3.0)x1033, β4=(2.8±1.1)x1036. The following stepwise constants were determined with less error: β3/β2=(1.04±0.11)x109, β4/β3=(3.9±0.3)x102
