In vivo diagnosis of thyroid diseases
Description
Today a quite a number of procedures for thyroid in-vivo-diagnostic is replacable by in-vitro-tests. Nevertheless the in-vivo-diagnostic is an important part of the thyroid diagnostic. Using radionuclides with short halflife a valuable diagnostic statement is obtained with a comparably low radiation dose for thyroid and gonades. A remarkable improvement of thyroid diagnostics can be reached in combination with additional tests just as fine needle aspiration biopsy and sonography. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Ein Grossteil der In-vivo-Diagnostik der Schilddruese ist heute durch In-vitro-Diagnostik zu ersetzen. Trotzdem bleibt die In-vivo-Diagnostik ein unentbehrlicher Bestandteil der Schilddruesendiagnostik. Durch den Einsatz kurzlebiger Radionuklide bei vergleichsweise niedriger Strahlenbelastung von Schilddruese und Gonaden ist eine wertvolle diagnostische Aussage zu erreichen. In Kombination mit ergaenzenden Massnahmen wie Feinnadelpunktion und Ultraschall ist eine bemerkenswerte Verbesserung der Schilddruesendiagnostik moeglich. (orig.)Additional details
