Description
A nonrelativistic reduction has been performed for the expressions that describe the deuteron magnetic moment within the Bethe-Salpeter formalism. The one-iteration approximation has been used, which makes it possible to relate the P-wave components of the Bethe-Salpeter amplitude to the S- and D-wave components of the nonrelativistic deuteron wave function. As the result of this reduction, expressions for the deuteron magnetic moment have been obtained in the nonrelativistic impulse approximation, the contribution of the pair meson current being determined simultaneously. The latter contribution is due exclusively to the transitions between positive-energy and P-wave components
