Obtaining deuterium by isotope separation of titanium/nickel phases
Description
It was found that the metal alloys TiNi and Ti2Ni adsorb hydrogen very easily at 50 to 1500C, but hardly adsorb deuterium at all. This characteristic can be used for the enrichment of deuterium, where the H2 content is reduced in a gas mixture by taking it over these alloys in powder form. The process is explained in detail. Es wurde gefunden, dass die Metallegierungen TiNi und Ti2Ni bei 50 bis 1500C H2 sehr leicht adsorbieren, dagegen Deuterium fast gar nicht. Dieses Verhalten laesst sich zur Anreicherung von Deuterium benutzen, indem man in einem Gasgemisch durch Ueberleiten ueber diese Legierungen in Pulverform den H2-Gehalt vermindert.
