Cyclic durability of superconducting composite in a mixed state
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kharkov. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst. Nizkikh Temperatur
Description
Investigated was the fatigue-failure durability of a composite consisting of thin strands of superconducting HT-50 copper-matrix alloy in superconducting and mixed states. Determined was the variation of the mixed-state durability with increasing magnetic field intensity. Explained is the part the matrix plays in the fatigue failure of the composite. The durability of the composite is higher in the superconducting, rather than in the mixed state. In the mixed state, the durability of the composite increases with the magnetic field
