Description

Full text: Rapid scientific and industrial progress impose growing demands on today's powder diffraction systems. At the same time, economic pressures require from new equipment to offer more practical, more cost -effective, i.e. more efficient solutions to users' needs. One of the main keys for enhancement of performance of X - ray powder diffraction systems is more efficient use of generated X - rays by means of different optical modules. Modern X - ray powder diffraction systems must be easy and quickly to reconfigure, must provide no-compromise performance in terms of resolution and intensity for every application - from industrial production control to in - depth research investigation. The presentation will cover the known and new X - ray optical modules (mirrors, hybrid, x - ray lens and mono - capillary) with their respective instrument configurations, application areas and characteristic examples.
