Proton dynamics in solid CsB9H14 on the NMR data

Description
Proton dynamics of cluster arachno-anion B9H14- in crystal phase of CsB9H14 was studied by 1H and 11B broad line NMR. Diffusion of H ''bridge'' atoms, characterized by the energy larrier of movement of 5.5 kcal/mol, was revealed. Mean interatomic distance r(B-H) for H ''terminal'' atoms was determined, being 1.22±0.02 A. The data obtained suggest mobility of ''terminal'' H in B9H14- cluster in crystal phase
