Stimulated Mandelstam-Brillouim scattering of two-mode pumping waves in an expanding laser plasma
Description
Stimulated Brillonin-Mandelstan scattering (SBMS) of two-mode pumping wave in heterogeneous expanding laser plasma is considered taking into account wave reflections. It is shown that nonlinear interaction of incident and reflected waves in the vicinity of the point, where the plasma flow rate is equal to the sound velocity, can considerably decrease the efficiency of the use of multimode pumping to supress SBMS
