Properties of radiation cross-linked and radiation grafted polyethylenes

Description
Thermomechanical properties of radiation cross-linked polyethylene (RPE) and radiation-grafted copolymers of polyethylene (RGPE) with acrylic acid, depending on the composition and preparation conditions, were studied. Properties of RPE and RGPE of different thickness were compared. The yield of gel fraction, characterizing the degree of interchain cross-linking, was considered. PE films were irradiated by 60Co γ-rays in the air at the dose rate of 1.67 Gy/s
