Description

A mathematical model is described of a thermoluminescence process with multipeak glow curve allowing to determine the characteristic parameters of trapping centres. The model is based on that for a case of a single trapping centre assuming that the individual thermoluminescence centres behave mutually independently. The procedure itself is written in FORTRAN for a JPR 12R computer and consists of a main program for storing the data and printing the results, and of four subroutines. One subroutine is used for approximation using the least square fit and the greatest gradient methods, one for processing 1st order kinetics curves, one is used for 2nd order kinetics curves and one for processing narrow-peak 1st order kinetics curves. The procedure is capable of working with most shapes of glow curves and can be used in differentiating compound peaks or revealing new peaks. It was tested using CaF2:Dy and CaSO:Dy materials.
