Survey of fuel element structure design for normal and accident operation

Description

The fuel element structure design is exemplified by a PWR-type reactor fuel element. The basic requirements the fuel element structure has to meet in normal and accident operation as well as the respective loadings it is subjected to are listed. The methods applied in design analysis are explained by two examples (axial stress in the guide tubes in normal operation; horizontal analysis in accident operation). (RF)

Abstract (German)

Am Beispiel des DWR-Brennelementes wird die Brennelement-Strukturauslegung dargestellt. Die grundlegenden Anforderungen, denen die Brennelement-Struktur waehrend des bestimmungsmaessigen Betriebs und waehrend Stoerfaellen genuegen muss, sowie die dabei jeweils wirkenden Belastungen werden aufgezaehlt. An 2 Beispielen (axiale Spannungen in den Fuehrungsrohren im Normalbetrieb, Stoerfall-Horizontalanalyse) werden die Methoden der Auslegungsanalyse verdeutlicht. (RF)
