Influence of various components on temper brittleness in steels
Description
Consideration is being given to the temper brittleness in steels conditioned by grain-boundary segregation of mpurities and carbide formation processes. To explain this phenomenon it is suggested to use the theory of phase transformations and the data of structural investigations at different stage of aging along With thermodynamic method. The suggested approach enables to expaliain the role of alloying elements (Ti, V, Mo, W, Cr), impurities and carbon in temper embrittleness of steels
