Description

A personnel dosimeter, using a suitable choice of size and thickness for aluminium, tin and cadmium filters, has been obtained based on the information from the thermoluminescent detectors of LiF with the natural lithium. The detectors TLD-100 have been obtained in our laboratory. The dosimeter, named 'The Multifunctional Personal Dosimeter with the Thermoluminescent Detectors of Type DIT - MF', is used to determine the dose of beta-ray, gamma-ray and thermal neutrons. The DIT-MF dosimeter, with sensitive detectors for gamma-ray and thermal neutrons, has been used for estimation of the dose equivalent of fast neutrons on the basis of the albedo method. With this dosimeter in the albedo system we estimated simultaneously the dose equivalent of the fast neutrons and gamma-rays. In this way a supplementary dosimeter for this purpose was eliminated. Irradiations were made at the sources of fast neutrons of Am-Be and 252 Cf. In this way the ratio between the dose equivalent of fast neutrons and gamma-ray for each source of fast neutrons can be determined. (authors)
