Formation of F2 centers in LiF crystals subjected to pulsed irradiation with dense electron beams
Description
Changes in the F2 optical absorption band as a result of irradiation with 0.35 MeV electron pulses of 3 nsec duration was studied with nanosecond resolution. The results indicated that the rise of the intensity of the F2 absorption band was due to the capture of band electrons by the F2+ centers mainly in a triplet excited state
