Study on REM ratemeter for mixed radiation with plane parallel lonization chambers
Description
It's discussed on the principle of rem ratemeter which can directly measure the dose rate equivalent for penetrative mixed radiations making use of the recombination difference of ions produced in two ionization chambers. And some of preliminary experiments were carried out for the purpose using a tissue equivalent ionization chamber with plane parallel electrodes and three kinds of tissue equivalent gas for alpha rays, gamma rays and fast neutrons. The results show that this kind of rem ratemeter is probably possible to realize. (auth.)
