Electricite de France has made a sustained effort to improve the performance of its PWR plants. Impressive achievements are now being recorded on many fronts, such as availability, radiation exposure, duration of scheduled outages, and the incidence of scrams. Measures being taken to improve the economic and technical performance are described. (author)
