Description
The study is based on the investigation of 32 patients suspected in inflammatory process of abdomen cavity, lungs and bones. In 11 of them 99mTc- HMPAO (370 mBq) was used for labelling and in 21 - 111In-oxine (10-14 mBq). The leucocyte labelling effectiveness is higher when 111In oxine was used. Cell restitution in both methods was equal. In patients with positive findings inlammatory focus is visualized best 18-24 hrs after injection of 111In-leucocytes, and 1-2 hrs when 99mTc-leucocytes were used. The use of 99mTc-HMPAO for leucocyte labelling has the following advantages over 111In-oxine: superior quality of the image of inflammatory focus, lower radiation load (10 times), simpler labelling procedure (in plasma medium), accessibility of the radionuclide. The disadvantages are assosiated with its excretion through the kidneys and intestines. 1 tab., 1 fig., 4 refs
