Irradiation device for precision and homogeneous activation

Description
An irradiation device has been developed for precision and homogeneous activation in the Rossendorf research reactor. Continuous measurement of the neutron flux density is performed with electron emission detectors, so that activities can be produced within rather narrow concentration ranges. Homogeneous distribution of the specific activity is achieved by moving the targets in the radiation field. Irradiation is automated and prepared for computer-assistance
