Comparative study of the inhibition produced by CMU (3-p-chlorophenyl-1,1-dimethyl-urea) in barley leaves, on the photophosphorilation, photocarboxilation and hill reaction

Description

The effect of different concentrations of CMU (from 10-8 M to 10-3 M) on the photophosphorilation, photocarboxilation and Hill reaction was studied. CMU (Carbon-14 labelled) was utilized to determine the concentration of CMU in leaf parenchyma. Photocarboxilation and photophosphorilation was sensible to concentrations less than 10-7 M. Hill reaction in isolated chloroplasts was sensible from concentrations of the order of 10-8 M. (author)
