A Radiopharmaceutical studies of some drugs labelled with 99m Tc
Description
The aim of this work is to improve the quality and simplify the methods of preparation of 99mTc and its labelled human serum albumin microspheres (HSA). The different factors which encouraged US to carry out this program include the availability of a research reactor in A.R.E. , the continuous request by our local hospitals for the provision of 99mTc and its labelled compounds, and the high price of the imported staff. A systematic investigation has been carried out for the extraction of 99mTc from alkaline, neutral and acidic media containing 99Mo in order to find the optimum conditions for the separation of 99mTc from 99Mo. In addition , the preparation of 99mTc - HSAM has been performed for the first time in our laboratory. This radiopharmaceutical is of great importance and is routinely used in lung perfusion studies
