Two site occupation by 12B implanted in copper above T = 300 K

  • 1. Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., Palo Alto, Calif. (USA). Lockheed Palo Alto Research Lab.

Description

Polarized 12B is produced in the reaction 11B(d,p)12B and recoil implanted in single crystal copper. Above room temperature two depolarization peaks are observed. They are identified as arising from 12B occupying the octahedral interstitial site and also the substitutional site. (Auth.)
