A model for in-reactor stress rupture of austenitic stainless steels
Creators

Description
A model for in-reactor stress rupture is proposed based on stress-induced creep cavity formation on a fraction of an evolving distribution of helium bubbles. The observed creep rates, ductility and rupture times for some high temperature in-reactor data and the relatively high ductilities in breeder spectra at lower temperatures are predicted correctly.
